Mission
Education can overcome superstitious beliefs and poverty.
It helps us to develop opinions and different views in life. Through education one will gain information about one's surrounding and world. Knowledge makes one different through the thought process. In all ways, education uplifts the standard of living. In India, the great legend Dr. BR Ambedkar emphasized the importance of education for every human being.
"The objective of basic education for every child, from primary school on, is to make them literate for the rest of their life." ~ Dr. BR Ambedkar
This is the driving force behind Mr. Shiv Kumar Azad's efforts to build a school and provide education for the poor children in the village.

Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero is a disciple of Master Yuan-Chen. During his seven years in India working on his Master's Degree and Ph.D, Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero worked diligently to build and set-up a school and Buddhist College in India with the support of the public and his Master.
In 2010, Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero, with the help of Bhikshu Devendra Thero, was in charge of building an education center for the Shravasti area. Following that, at the end of 2012 Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero rebuilt the World's Tallest Ashoka Pillar in Sankissa. And with the help of Bhikshu Dr. Upanand Thero, he established a Buddhist College in the same area.
It was during his work in Sankissa that Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero met Mr. Shiv Kumar Azad (President of The Buddhist Educational Welfare Society) and they came to know each other. Mr. Azad and his close friends had already decided to open a school for poor children in Siddharth Nagar (a village in Northern India) and he had successfully begun the project on his own land in 2009. However, his aim and ambition to give free education for the local poor children without any discrimination was not an easy task. Nor was it easy to financially run a school for about 600 children.
In 2013, Mr. Azad became worried that he couldn't manage financially to run the school. Because Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero knew that Mr. Azad was doing noble work for the society, he volunteered to support him and help him run the school smoothly.
Since that time, Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero has been actively involved in helping Mr. Azad rebuild the uncompleted old school. So far the ground floor has been completed, and there is much more work to do in order to complete the plan for the entire project.

When I was studying, I thought: If a person must do something in life, then the use of his life for others is the most important thing in life.
In 2004, he completed a university degree in electrical engineering and worked as an electronics engineer in the city of Bangalore, India. At the same time, he also participated in the social worker assistance in the village. Since engaging in education is my dream and guiding me to do something for this society, such a dream has always been in my mind.
Until one day, I found that I had to be more committed, or my dream could not be realized.
In 2009, I decided to start a school that is specially designed for poor children. Starting from basic education, we have 48 children to start learning. So far, the school has grown to 600 children.
For education, for children, we There is more to do.

Master Yuan-Chen is a disciple and successor of Grand Master Chuan-hsiao who's wish it was to for Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero to build schools and Buddhist Colleges in India. Master Yuan-Chen supports Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero as much as possible in order that they both can fulfill Grand Master Chuan-hsiao's wish.

Grand Master Chuan-hsiao gave Master Dr. Tejawaro Thero the mission to build schools and colleges in India especially Buddhist colleges. He knew that the Buddha's teaching came from India to the other side of the world, and that this is the time for Buddha's great knowledge to be brought back to India to support and increase their educational knowledge.
